Having recognized the enormous potential that lie within the U.S., more specifically the state of Texas, for wind energy generation, the founders approved the establishment of Venti Energy within the Lone Star state.

Joining the ranks of Germany and Spain, countries renowned as leaders in the renewable energy industry, the U.S. exceeded 10,000 MW in generating capacity based on wind energy installations in August 2006. Committed to reducing harmful environmental effects while increasing energy independence, the announcement demonstrates an aggressive movement by the U.S. to solve the problems of energy supply and consumption on a national scale.

Generating nearly 2,500 MW of wind power alone, the state of Texas surpassed California as the top state in cumulative wind power capacity in 2006.

Aside from the vast potential Texas offers, the founders sought the expertise of Austin-based clean energy expert Richard Amato. Having experience in project management and business development within the clean energy community, Amato assisted in the company’s ground-breaking establishment and became founding President and CEO in 2006.
